Announcement and Application Procedure for the 2025 WeLead Scholarship and Grant Program

To recognize outstanding law students at universities in Taiwan and to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, the WeLead Law Scholarship and Grant Program was established in 2020. Each selected recipient will receive a grant of NT$10,000. Please refer to the following announcement and the “WeLead Law Firm Scholarship and Grant Guidelines” for more details.

1. Number of Awards for 2025

  • Scholarships: 5 recipients

  • Grants: 2 recipients
    Note: The number of recipients may be increased at the discretion of the firm.

2. Application Procedure

(1) Scholarships

Applicants for the 2025 Scholarship must submit hard copies of their application documents by Friday, March 28. The documents must be sent to the following address and received by the deadline:

In addition, applicants must email a cloud link (do not attach files directly) to the digital version of their documents to: welead@weleadlaw.com. The firm will download the files from the provided link. If file access is restricted, the firm will directly request access without further notice, so applicants should monitor their email for such requests.

The email subject line must include the applicant’s university name, full name, and indicate that it is a WeLead Scholarship application. The applicant must also include a contact number and the date the physical documents were mailed.

(2) Grants

  1. National Taipei University:
    Applicants must submit hard copies of their application documents to the Department of Law office before 10:00 AM on Friday, March 28.

  2. Other Universities:
    Applicants must follow the same procedures as the scholarship applicants:

  • Mail the physical documents to the WeLead Law Firm at the address provided above, ensuring they are received by Friday, March 28.

  • Send the digital documents via a cloud link by email to welead@weleadlaw.com.
    Do not attach files directly to the email.
    Follow the same cloud access and email subject line requirements as listed above.

(3) Notification

The firm will announce the selected recipients on its official website by May 5, 2025, and will notify the recipients individually. Other applicants will not receive separate notification.

3. Academic Transcript Requirements

  • Third-year undergraduates should submit original transcripts for:

    • Fall semester of the 2024–2025 academic year

    • Spring semester of the 2023–2024 academic year

  • Fourth-year undergraduates should submit original transcripts for:

    • Fall semester of the 2024–2025 academic year

    • Both semesters of the 2023–2024 academic year

  • Graduate students, including those in master’s programs, second-year master’s, interdisciplinary legal studies, post-baccalaureate law programs, or other law-related programs should submit original transcripts for all academic years of their respective programs.
